Happy Monday!
I just have one tidbit of info and advice this morning. I have already written about one of my new favorite restaurants here and here. It is truly a beautiful place with wonderful food. But, some of you (us) are unwilling to eat inside a restaurant right now, and I understand completely. If, however, eating outdoors feels/seems safer to you, then let me assure you that the outdoor patios at Tom Brown's Restaurant are comfortable and pleasant with the added benefit of attentive service and the same great food.
Steve and I had dinner at Tom Brown's last Friday night. Our temperature was taken at the reception desk, and the heaters and fire tables were operating to make the environment comfortable.
The homemade rolls were awesome.
I loved the dressing on my Caesar salad.
Steve's shrimp were succulent and sweet.
My steak was tender and full of flavor.
Tom Brown's Restaurant is located on Highway 72 in Madison, Alabama. Right now they are only serving dinner, but I have it on good authority that they hope to begin offering Sunday brunch by mid- or late-January. As soon as you feel comfortable doing so, go and enjoy this extraordinary restaurant.
By the way, if you visit during December, you will be treated to the sight of the stunning crystal Christmas tree. It is the perfect complement to the numerous chandeliers.
