Craving Chinese

It started with a craving for Egg Drop Soup.

That led to a Google search of "best Chinese restaurants in Madison," because we had an errand to run in the area.

Then came a narrowing down based on the fact that I try to support locally-owned businesses whenever possible.

That's how we ended up at Four Leaves Asian Restaurant on Highway 72, in the same shopping complex as the large Kroger store. We enjoyed it a lot. The food, atmosphere, and service were great, and I am eager to return.

The Egg Drop soup satisfied my craving very nicely.

The Hibachi Lunch entrees are served with soup, salad, and rice. You can choose from egg drop, miso, and clear soup, your preferred salad dressing (we always choose the ginger dressing), and fried rice doesn't cost any more than white or brown rice. Win-win-win.

We ordered two different chicken entrees, because we like to share AND have some leftovers for later. The menu offers a combination of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. I have some granddaughters I need to take there for sushi soon.

I loved the sound of splashing water and the soft music. The temperature of the restaurant was comfortable (always important to Steve who despises trying to eat in a cold restaurant). Our server appeared to genuinely enjoy her job.

We arrived just as it opened for lunch at 11:00 a.m. Take note that oddly it is closed on Tuesdays.

Anyway, I hope you'll have a similarly positive experience when you visit.
